When it comes to the best results on a ketogenic diet, eating enough fat is important. Adding keto fat bombs is a great way to not only get your sweet tooth fix, but they also help with weight loss too.

Peanut Butter Cheesecake Ball Ingredients
This easy keto peanut butter bomb recipe calls for 3 simple ingredients: cream cheese, butter, and peanut butter.
First, you may be wondering – is cream cheese keto friendly? And what about peanut butter? Is peanut butter keto friendly too?
The great news is all of these delicious fats are perfectly keto legal. They all come together in these 3 ingredient peanut butter fat bombs to make your high fat diet even more delicious.
Be sure to choose full fat cream cheese. If you can find organic cream cheese, that’s best since the organic version contains less toxins than its conventional counterpart. Organic dairy is also guaranteed to not contain antibiotics.
The same goes for butter. Grass-fed, organic butter will always be your best bet. You get more nutrients and less toxins. Both big wins!
Whatever you do, make sure you use real butter – not a butter-like spread. Store labels get tricky, so the only ingredients you want your butter to include are cream and salt. If your butter contains anything you can’t pronounce, or something that doesn’t belong in real food, put it back.
Finally, when choosing a keto friendly peanut butter – look for a type of peanut butter with no added sugar. Some of my favorite keto friendly peanut butter brands include Organic 365, Justin’s Peanut Butter, or Santa Cruz.
We already talked about peanut butter as the perfect snack on keto, but if you’re curious about the benefits of almond butter vs peanut butter keto wise – they both work. If you prefer almond butter over peanut butter, feel free to make that easy keto swap.
A Word About Keto Friendly Sweeteners
One ingredient you may have noticed missing from these 3 ingredient keto peanut butter fat bombs is added sweetener. Since natural peanut butter combined with cream cheese and butter is already naturally sweet, I leave out ingredients like monk fruit sweetener.
An excellent way to get even better results with a keto lifestyle is to leave out a lot of ingredients that keep sugar cravings high. This includes low carb sweeteners for many people.
Even though I lost more than 100 pounds keeping keto-friendly sweeteners in my keto desserts, I struggled to keep the weight off.
Since then I’ve found way too many people are counting grams of net carbs in recipes, rather than looking at the overall ingredients. This approach can lead to a keto weight loss stall long term.
I’m not saying everyone needs to leave all of the sweeteners out in order to get the best results, but leaving them out when you can might make a difference.
If this is your first time making this low carb dessert, always taste the batter prior to freezing. If this 3 ingredient peanut butter fat bomb recipe isn’t sweet enough for you, use this free keto sweetener guide to turn this into a 4 ingredient keto recipe.
Choose one of the sweeteners listed on the sweetener conversion guide to mix into the batter prior to freezing.
How to Make Keto Peanut Butter Cheesecake Fat Bombs
The first step is to set the butter and cream cheese out on the counter since you want these ingredients to come to room temperature prior to mixing up the peanut butter balls.
You can line a mini cupcake pan with mini cupcake liners while you wait. Alternatively, line a baking sheet with parchment paper if you don’t have a mini muffin tray on hand. Silicone molds also work for most fat bomb recipes.
Once soft, add all three ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer on medium speed to whip the ingredients together into a fat bomb batter.
Next, scoop the 3 ingredient fat bombs cream cheese mixture into the lined tray in 1 tablespoon increments. Then place the tray in the freezer until firm. This should take 20 – 30 minutes.
Store the peanut butter fat bombs in a Ziploc bag or other airtight container in the freezer or fridge.
Keep in mind, this recipe only makes a batch of 12 keto fat bombs. I typically double the ingredients to make a big batch since these go quickly!
Low Carb Recipe Swaps
Since my body doesn’t respond well to cream cheese or peanut butter, I made this batch according to the recipe card for my husband. Then I made a separate batch with a few recipe swaps so I can enjoy this keto sweet treat too.
For my batch, I swapped a dairy free cream cheese out for the real thing. I also used a hazelnut almond butter mix instead of peanut butter in this no bake keto snack.
While this nearly dairy-free version is delicious, the hazelnut almond butter does add a small amount of sugar to each fat bomb. Be sure to account for that in your total carb count if you make these swaps.
Drizzle Dark Chocolate
If you love a good keto chocolate peanut butter combo, you could also melt down an ounce of dark chocolate and drizzle it over this fat bombs recipe.
As we talked about before, I skip the sugar-free chocolate and sugar-free chocolate chips in my keto recipes. I find the best keto chocolate to use is a high quality dark chocolate bar like Lindt 90% or Theo’s 85%.
Melting down a dark chocolate bar you can find at the grocery store is an easy way to turn this into a delicious peanut butter chocolate keto recipe.
The Keto Peanut Butter Cheesecake Balls Wrap Up
These creamy peanut butter balls are one of the easiest keto treats you can add to your keto meal plan. It has the right kind of healthy fats you need to thrive on a keto diet.
Keto fat bombs are a great snack to enjoy at the end of a meal to help your body realize you’re bringing in enough nutritional fat in order to let go of stubborn body fat. They can also help you bring in the nutrients you need, while keeping blood sugar low.
Too often I find women are scared to eat any extra fat – even while following a ketogenic diet plan. While you never want to stuff fat past the point of satiation, it’s also important to help your body realize you’re not in starvation mode. Staying too low calorie, which often means not eating enough fat on keto, can result in a weight loss stall.
