Even though you’re led to believe stomach cramps and loose stools are normal digestive symptoms, they’re not. In fact, these are all symptoms of sludgy bile flow.
And that’s not all. Thick and sticky bile can also result in foul-smelling gas, diarrhea, itchy skin, acne, and nausea. If left unchecked, poor bile flow can lead to insufficient gallbladder function – which could result in removal of this important organ.
Thankfully it’s easy to obtain efficient bile flow with a natural food supplement called Beet Flow. Keep reading to learn how to reestablish normal bile production with a simple supplementation program that can help you improve digestive issues quickly.

Before we get to the good stuff, please understand this blog is for informational purposes only. I’m not a doctor and am unable to diagnose a specific medical condition. It’s a good idea to see your health care practitioner for the treatment of any health problem, and prior to getting off the prescription of any medication.
Also understand even though I talk about the potential benefits of this supplement based on my experience, individual results will vary.
What Is Bile?
Stomach bile is yellowish green digestive fluid that’s produced by the liver. Once produced, it’s stored in the gallbladder in order to help you emulsify dietary fats during the digestive process.
The digestive system is made up of two components: stomach acid and bile. If either of these parts don’t function as intended, this can lead to several undesirable digestive symptoms.
In the case of thick and sticky bile flow, this can result in symptoms like:
- Gas
- Loose Stools
- Diarrhea
- Itchy Skin
- Acne
- Nausea
While proper bile flow is especially important on a high-fat diet like keto, it’s important to improve bile function – even when following a more varied diet where fat is not a staple food.
Not only can improving the flow of bile help with better weight loss, but it can also drastically reduce the symptoms listed above.
The flow of bile can become thick and sticky in many people after years of a poor diet filled with processed foods, or even from using medications (both over-the-counter and prescribed).
How to Stimulate Bile Flow
There are several methods you can use to stimulate the flow of bile naturally. The good news is you can use most of these methods in conjunction with the Natural Reference Beet Flow product. (We’ll talk more about that in a minute).
Some of the most common ways to stimulate bile include:
- Eat More Bitter Foods: Dark leafy green vegetables, beetroot greens, artichokes, and pickles are all great at stimulating the flow of bile.
- Add Bile Stimulating Drinks: Certain drinks like roasted dandelion root tea, lemon tea, celery juice, and coffee can all stimulate bile production.
- Add Bile Salts: Using bile salts in supplement form, such as Choline, Glycine, and Taurine, can help build better bile flow.
- Increase Healthy Fats: The more often bile is called upon, the more bile your body will produce. Slowly increasing healthy fats at meals can help improve bile production.
While each of these methods can be helpful when it comes to cleaning up the bile flow pathway, the easiest and quickest way to improve the flow of bile is with the Natural Reference Beet Flow supplement.
What Is Beet Flow?
Beet flow is a gentle, yet effective, supplement that serves as a bile flow booster. The pills are made up of the extract of beetroot leaves in a highly concentrated form.
While including beet greens in your daily diet is a great way to encourage optimal bile flow, it would take an entire bucket of beet greens to get the same benefits as you do in 3-4 capsules of the Beet Flow Empirical Labs supplement.
Beet Flow helps by making the flow of bile from liver to gallbladder more motile. This natural product, that’s not commonly used in traditional medicine circles, improves the consistency of thick and sticky bile. This makes the flow of bile from the gallbladder a smoother process.
When combined with healthier diet habits, this natural flow agent is a great dietary supplement to add to your routine to help reestablish proper digestive function.
Beet Flow Instructions
Since the product label provides very general instructions, let me show you how my clients get the best results with this product made mostly from the extract of organic beetroot.
While Beet Flow does not need to be taken with food, sometimes it’s easier to remember to take Beet Flow when you get into the habit of taking the supplement with meals.
For everyday use, take 2-3 capsules before each meal. Take more if your symptoms of poor bile flow are strong, and less if you simply need a small boost. Continue to take Beet Flow for as long as your symptoms persist.
If you also use the Empirical Labs Betaine HCL product to improve stomach acid, you should continue to take Beet Flow to make sure bile is flowing properly when supplementing with HCL. Not supplementing properly can result in even more problems, like urgent diarrhea, or even an ulcer formation.
Beet Flow Flush
It’s a good idea to add a Beet Flow Flush after using the Natural Reference Beet Flow product for a day or two. Keep in mind, this is a one time protocol that’s used to stimulate bile production – not a routine you should follow daily.
To incorporate a Beet Flow Flush into your routine, simply take 4 Beet Flow capsules every 30 minutes for a duration of two hours. This means you take a total of 16 Beet Flow pills in a two hour time period.
Following this process can help give bile production a boost. It may also help you see quicker results when using the Empirical Labs Beet Flow supplement.
While some people may not notice anything after completing a Beet Flow flush, if you’re extra toxic – this may result in nausea after or during the flush. You should feel relief after a short time if this happens to you.
One way to know if a Beet Flow Flush is helping is to test your saliva pH. If after properly testing your chemistry numbers your saliva pH starts to rise, that’s a great sign toxins are being removed. A Beet Flow Flush is especially helpful when your saliva pH is below 6.5.
The Next Step
Thick and sticky bile can lead to a multitude of health conditions that range from uncomfortable to life-altering. Anyone who’s lost their gallbladder and attempts a high-fat diet knows exactly what I mean.
That’s why it’s important to take the highest quality supplements that are also appropriate for your body chemistry. If you deal with any of the symptoms of sludgy bile flow, adding the Empirical Labs Beet Flow supplement can be a game-changer.

Also, please note using a beetroot supplement and beetroot juice are not the same thing. Neither of these options are nearly as effective for easier flow as the Beet Flow product.
