Recipes with Nutrient Dense Veggies are a Great Way to Feel Satiated on Keto
I love keeping keto simple with an easy keto beef recipe filled with plenty of fresh broccoli. Nutrient dense veggies go a long way when it comes to keeping you feel satisfied in a keto lifestyle. Often not getting enough veggies is a big reason why keto dieters fail a low carb diet long term.
If you often feel hungry while following keto because you fill up on too many overly processed keto fun foods, it will be hard to stick with keto long term. When you don’t eat enough nutrients your body needs to feel satiated, your natural instinct will be to hit the pantry in search of more food.
Adding new recipes like this to your keto meal plan that are filled with the nutrients your body needs to thrive is the way to take your keto diet to the next level. Next time you’re thinking of what to eat next on keto, remember that you probably just need more high quality vegetables. Sometimes eating a lot of beef helps too. This recipe that’s great for busy weeknights takes care of both!

A Few Quick Tips to Get This Easy Keto Meal on the Dinner Table Fast
When it comes to frozen broccoli vs. fresh broccoli florets, you can choose either for this creamy broccoli & beef recipe. Keep in mind frozen veggies not only make for an easy recipe, but they also typically contain more nutrients. This is because the head of broccoli is chopped into florets and then its frozen at the peak of freshness.

How to Make This Simple Keto Beef and Broccoli Recipe
Creamy Garlic Beef and Broccoli Sauce:
First thing – start by gathering the sauce ingredients since this step takes the longest. Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a saucepan. For the most flavorful garlic sauce, stir in the minced garlic while the butter is melting.
Next, add the heavy cream to the saucepan in 1/2 cup increments while stirring frequently. Allow the sauce to cook for around 20 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired level. Just a quick PS – you can sprinkle parmesan cheese into the sauce while simmering if you want to turn this into a creamy garlic parmesan broccoli and beef recipe.
Be adventurous when it comes to your keto meals. There’s no reason to stick straight to the recipe when you can make so many delicious varieties with your favorite keto staples.
The recipe card doesn’t call for a thickening agent, but I prefer to use arrowroot powder over xanthan gum. Only add this if you like a thicker sauce. If you decide to add in arrowroot powder, be sure to add small amounts of water combined with arrowroot powder.
If you skip mixing the arrowroot powder with water first, you’ll end up with a clumpy sauce. Be sure to mix one tablespoon of powder with one tablespoon of water in a separate bowl. Then you can add it into the creamy garlic sauce at the end of the recipe.

Ground Beef and Broccoli:
While the sauce is simmering, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over higher heat. As the beef browns, sprinkle on small amounts of a high quality sea salt and black pepper to taste. You can also stir in a little bit of red pepper flakes if you want to give this dish a little kick.
Measure out 3.5 cups of broccoli, which is 9 oz. Once the beef is lightly browned, mix in the broccoli florets and give it a good stir. Cook over medium heat until the broccoli softens. This usually takes around 5 minutes. For a softer broccoli, cook a little longer.
When the beef is fully browned and the broccoli is soft, pour the creamy garlic sauce on top of the rest of the ingredients to complete your delicious meal.
