When it comes to butter, grass-fed is better than conventional since it contains more nutrients. Organic butter is a close second. Steer clear of food-like products, like margarine or anything labeled I can’t believe it’s not butter. When companies show you who they are, believe them! It’s not butter. In fact, it’s hardly even food.
While many keto-friendly recipes steer you towards sugar-free chocolate, I prefer the real thing. I stick with small amounts of dark chocolate in low carb recipes. I don’t love using a low carb sweetener, like liquid stevia or monk fruit sweetener, in keto dessert recipes. Using too many artificial sweeteners leads to more sweet cravings.

Once you choose your container for this easy recipe, melt the dark chocolate, almond butter, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir the fats together with a whisk while it melts. Once melted, remove from the heat and allow the chocolate mixture to cool.
After the chocolate mixture cools, pour in the vanilla extract and stir. Then, pour in the almonds and use a whisk to combine everything together.
Finally, add the fat bomb batter into the lined mini muffin tray in 1 tablespoon increments. Place in the freezer until firm. This should take 20 minutes.
Store the fat bombs in an airtight container in the freezer or fridge. I typically store these in a large Ziploc bag in the fridge.
