5 tips on losing 100 pounds with keto guide

Keto Cheesy Bacon Chicken Ingredients

This keto chicken recipe is made up of a few simple ingredients.

The basic ingredients include chicken, bacon, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese. You’ll also need garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste, plus diced green onions to top the cheesy bacon chicken.

Chicken

When it comes to easy baked chicken recipes, I typically use boneless skinless chicken breasts. You can also use chicken thighs if you want to turn this into a chicken thigh keto recipe. Either cut works with this easy recipe.

For best results on a keto diet, choose organic meat when sourcing the chicken. This results in less toxins being passed along to you, which means less inflammation while following keto. Bringing down inflammation is pretty much the entire point.

If you have trouble finding organic meat at your local grocery store, check out Butcher Box. They deliver high quality organic, grass-fed meats right to your doorstep. The quality and convenience of this service make sticking to keto a breeze.

Bacon

It’s also important to choose a higher quality bacon. Read the label to be sure the brand you choose doesn’t contain added sugar. Yes, many companies add sugar to bacon.

Since crispy bacon is added to so many low carb recipes, the best way to be prepared is to add cooking real bacon bits to your weekly meal prep plan. I cook bacon in a large batch every week on a griddle. Then, I use a large knife to crumble the bacon and store it in an airtight container in the fridge.

The leftovers heat up well in recipes like this cheesy bacon chicken keto meal. Using real bacon bits is important since products like Bacos are filled with chemicals instead of the real food that make your keto diet a success. Adding bacon to your meal prep each week makes busy weeknight dinners quick and easy.

Cheese

This creamy dish uses two kinds of cheese. When it comes to both the cream cheese, as well as the cheddar cheese, choose organic when you can. Many conventional dairy products are filled with hormones and come from sick cows who are fed antibiotics.

Hopefully you see a theme that high quality, organic foods are all good options when it comes to new recipes on a keto diet. It’s a great way to improve your health, as well as your weight loss results.

How to Make Keto Cheesy Bacon Chicken

Start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees F. Then, spray a baking dish with non stick spray for easy clean up.

Next, add the chicken breasts into the baking dish. Keep the chicken close together in the dish.

Keep in mind, the thicker the meat is, the longer it will take to bake. You may want to slice the meat down the center to cut the cooking time in half if the whole chicken breasts are thick.

Next, season both sides of the chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Then spread out the cream cheese directly on top of the chicken breast.

Finally, cover the chicken with the shredded cheese, bacon bits, and diced green onions. Bake uncovered until the chicken is fully cooked.Β

To determine when the chicken is ready, look for the center to be white and for the juices to run clear. You can also use a meat thermometer. Cook until the chicken is 165 degrees F in the center. This should take 20 – 25 minutes if you slice the whole chicken breasts in half.

The Keto Cheesy Bacon Chicken Wrap Up

With this simple recipe, you can have an entire meal ready in less than 30 minutes. The best thing is this delicious meal fits into even a strict keto plan. Who knew keto weight loss could be so easy?

If you want to turn this into a cheesy bacon chicken casserole dish, add cauliflower rice to the bottom of the chicken bacon dish. You can keep this keto chicken casserole simple by seasoning the cauliflower rice with a little olive oil, black pepper, and salt.

Or, you can spice it up even more by adding different ingredients like your own ranch seasoning mix to make this a chicken bacon ranch keto casserole.

Want to stick to the original recipe? Then just serve with your favorite keto side to make a complete meal.

My favorite side to serve with this meal is garlic bacon green beans. Cheesy bacon chicken breasts also go well with cauliflower mash, or even a side salad. All of these side options add a lot of great nutrition with minimal grams of carbs.

Don’t forget to save this recipe to your keto chicken dinner Pinterest board. Please share with your friends on social media too.
