Healthy Layered Taco Salad Recipe with Ground Beef (keto and low carb)

This easy keto taco salad is a quick meal that will satisfy all of your Taco Tuesday cravings.


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 + 1/2 oz taco seasoning
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4 oz sour cream
  • 4 oz shredded cheese
  • 2 roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • 1 bag shredded lettuce


  • Brown ground beef in skillet
  • Once browned, stir in 1 oz taco seasoning and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 5-10 minutes. Allow ground beef to cool slightly.
  • Layer serving plate with sour cream. Stir remaining taco seasoning into sour cream.
  • Top sour cream with shredded lettuce, ground beef, and preferred taco toppings.



You can choose to serve this family style in a large bowl or to prepare separate plates.
